TEACHING
Both of us have had a passion for teaching ever since we were young professionals. For us, we feel so lucky to have benefitted from the very best teachers in Australia and overseas, and their skill and also generosity helped form us into the musicians and players that we are today. Therefore, we want to give back to society by helping others develop their passion for music.
We are both equally comfortable teaching very young children, high school and university students, young professionals, and also mature aged students.
PRIVATE LESSONS:
We both give private, weekly lessons from our teaching studio at home in Brooklyn Park, South Australia. On the occasion when one, or both of us are on tour, we are very happy to give lessons via Skype/Facetime if the student or parents wish.
ONE OFF LESSONS:
Both of us also see students for single lessons; this can be useful for an extra boost of inspiration, knowledge, or a practice performance in the lead up to a key performance or audition. We are also willing to take one off lessons via Facetime/Skype, however we highly recommend participating in person.
ORCHESTRAL AUDITION PREPARATION:
Sharon began her career as an orchestral cellist; she has been a member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and has been guest Principal cellist of the Tasmanian and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras. She has also toured with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and was a Core Member of the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. She has helped many students with audition preparation, covering orchestral excerpts, concerto repertoire, and orchestral and audition etiquette and techniques.

MASTERCLASSES:
Both of us love meeting students in whatever city or town we visit whilst on tour. We're both very happy to take public masterclasses in the location of our performance if time permits.
